When choosing the type of standardized test prep to sign up for, I believe one-on-one tutoring that is customized to each student's specific strengths and weaknesses yields the best and most efficient results. Anna and Neal at Horizon Learning Solutions treat students they work with like their own children. I give them my highest recommendation--not only professionally, but as a parent who used their services for my own children. Their bios are below:
Neal Maheshwari – Math
Neal is a Math Instructor at Schoolcraft College in Livonia Michigan, where he teaches all levels of Math including Geometry, Algebra, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, and Business Math. Alongside teaching as an adjunct instructor at Schoolcraft College, Neal worked as an Engineer at Ford Motor Company for 33 years in various areas including Manufacturing, Product Development, Finance, and Information Systems.
Dr. Anna Maheshwari – English
Anna is the Chair of the English Department at Schoolcraft College. She has been with Schoolcraft college since 2000. Anna teaches a wide variety of English classes including Composition, Literature, Developmental English, and Business/Technical Writing.
Neal Maheshwari & Anna Maheshwari – ACT, SAT, College Entrance Interview Prep. Neal and Anna have been preparing high schoolers for the ACT and SAT since 2010. Both their children were Northville High School graduates, attended the University of Cincinnati with full rides, and are now practicing physicians – a Cardiologist in Palo Alto CA, and an Anesthesiologist in Tampa, FL.
The ACT and SAT classes are tailored to the individual. While some require help with both English and Math, others may only need emphasis with one area. The students are coached to achieve their maximum potential. There are no minimum class requirements. Both, in person, and Zoom based classes are available.
